Damn it feels good to be a laxer. It feels even better to get out of the uniform and put on a pair of fresh kicks... Honestly if you don't own a pair of high tops yet, then you really are missing out. Not just a simple trainer, these have substance, style and are comfy to boot. No real downside, and unless you are rocking a pair of flops cos it's Summer (which we can fully understand) then their really is no excuse for you not to pur-chase yourself some Fresh Kicks.

I mean think of the alternatives... Boat Shoes (yes sometimes), Trainers (for the gym bro), smart shoes (we ain't at work)... we digress.

With the wonders of the Internet we can source the UrbanDictionary.com definition of "kicks" and this site helpfully tells us that they are in fact shoes. As an alternative we are offered the solution that "kicks" is also referred to as doing something for fun. Apparently that's a shortened version of "kick ass". Does that not tell you something already? After all what is life but a playground for the laxer? Adding "Fresh" to the title is just one further dimension, like you want to rock out with a clean cut look. Keep it smart, keep it tidy, and make sure there's no dirt. After all sporting a pair of scruffy shoes will only say negative things about the owner.

Vans, Adidas, Nike, Puma have all developed their own versions of the High-Top. Origins can be linked to the Basketball Fresh Prince of Bel Air generation...

Ever seen Entourage? Turtle is a collector of Fresh Kicks... and even goes so far as to hunt down limited edition signature editions. Now we're not suggesting going so bespoke or toppy on your first adventure... but certainly try them out. After all, at worst you've got some better ankle protection. That's less chance of pulling a ligament, more Lacrosse, less time on the sidelines. Functional. How do you like them apples?
