Just watched Hopkins v Navy on ESPN America, textbook morning... so it was a blow out, 10-0 at the half to the Blue Jays (when does that ever happen?) but hey can't complain when the sun is out and you're chillin' watching Lacrosse. So been a bit of activity on the Pod over the last few days, thought I'd share some of the new party tunes that are getting air time...

...and we're back! Episode 3, Tracks from my pod, MagicD bringing it to the masses with tunes that are hot right now across headphones of the UK...

Yep, I could deffo be a DJ, argue that one Bo... on a serious note this time we're stopping in I'm goin' with tunes that I listen to on or at the gym. Y'know, scene setters, those ones that help you push out that extra rep. Some choices may be embarrassing... but hey I'm ok with that.

So just got back from an epic trip to California, and jet lag aside, had an absolute blast. Thought it'd be interesting to share with y'all some of the tunes that formed the soundtrack to my trip, and kept me entertained whilst lounging in the OC. Part 2 of "Tracks from my pod" brings a selection of songs overheard in places as varied as random hotel lobby's, to certain radio stations, some surfshops... and even the "Monster Energy" stand at the San Diego Supercross event. Chosen by other dj's, passed on by me, and uploaded to the pod. Genius.

So MagicD here, deciding that I'm a little bit jealous that Coach Dave and Bo get all the fun putting up music. So I decided to start my own section, called tracks from my pod where I'll sample the playlists that are going throw my headphones on the way to work, at the gym, etc etc. I can't guarantee that there is going to be any consistency, regularity, or any actual decent music. But hey, this is the soundtrack to my life.

Anyone remember those days where the only place you could see music videos was on "Kerrang" or "MTV" and that was if you were lucky enough to have sky (not everyone did back in the day)...and yes, we're talking about when MTV actually showed music, rather than Cribs, or My Sweet 16. Not that we aren't partial to a little of that, but I digress.

TopJLax thought it'd take a look at some of the classic influential tunes that were around about 5-10 years ago, when we all dressed in baggy jeans, skater shoes, studded belts, tight t-shirts and had swept emo hair. Remember the feeling of heading to a gig on a Friday night, to mosh your heart out to a band singing (screaming) about girls, arse waggots, and high school. Oh and I forgot the classic rule: As soon as a band becomes popular (i.e. you saw 12 year old wearing their t-shirts... read Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park etc..) they were no longer cool. Fact.
