The Fighter - We told you so... 02/06/2011
Back towards the end of 2010 we hinted in one of our bro's and no's of the week that there was going to be an epic Mark Wahlberg movie by the name of "The Fighter" hitting our screens in 2011. Well kids, it's finally here, and boy does it live up to the hype. Christian Bale is excellent as a coke addict, stuck in the past, older brother come trainer, whilst Mark Wahlberg (clearly ripped like he's been following a Coach Dave workout programme) depicts a fighter who just won't take no for an answer and shoes some true heart in the ultimate comeback story. Add to that some good fighting sequences, a montage, and a (ginger) babe... and its well worth grabbing the popcorn and settling down to a night in front of the screen.
