So you know how there are loads of quality lacrosse video's on youtube that you can day dream over and watch? Well most are NCAA, pro, or US related in some nature. Here at TopJLax we thought it'd be interesting to take a look at the top 5 videos that feature UK lacrosse of some form. So we've searched youtube to come up with our list. It's not all pretty, certainly not HD in nature, and it probably wouldn't make SportsCentre plays of the day, but it's very British in nature. Click more to see the video's.
1. 2010 World Games Team England vs. Johns Hopkins - 4,234 views
Now some of you may argue that this video doesn't deserve to be on the list since it features Johns Hopkins (US), it's filmed by a US lacrosse site, and it's based in the US. However it's TEAM ENGLAND after all, and with this quality of footage and goals it definitely deserves it's place at no.1.
2. Blues v Warwick University Lacrosse take out (UK) - 3,933 views
Featuring Warwick University long pole Jon Treacy, this video is a relative heavyweight of the UK lacrosse youtube showings, with 3,933 views. It may be short, but with a bumper sound track, it features one of the funniest hits ever. Watch it, laugh, watch it again, laugh again.
3. This is Exeter Lacrosse HD - 302 views
Exeter Lacrosse have produced this HD video charting the teams progress through the 2009/2010 BUCS season. Here at TopJLax we like this video, it's in HD after all (HD goddammit) and not only that but it features "The most physical team we've ever played" (who are we?). Exeter, "tipped to be the rising stars of the game" went on to win the BUCS Western 1A Conference, and proceeded to the quarterfinal stage of the BUCS Championship, before eventually having their season ended by Warwick University, 11-6. 4. Rochdale Lacrosse Under 19 - 341 views
This video, filmed at Wilmslow one evening, shows highlights from an U-19 game from the North. Being one of the better quality lax and footage we've seen on youtube, we thought this video deserved it's place on the list. Genuinely some nice goals too...
5. TNL 2008 Trailer - 75 views
A short trailer from a video about the 2008 Thursday Night Lights sixes competition at Warwick University this video plumps in at no.5 due to it's low viewings, but there's a bit of editing and a soundtrack, so it get's in higher than most of the game footage filmed on a camera phone. Genuinely where are ESPNU when you want them?
