Jay Card does not play around 03/08/2011
There is little doubt that Hofstra's Jay Card is an exceptional lacrosse player. However in the recent match up against Harvard he got in some trouble for a high hit which left John Rose, a Freshman LSM, down and unconscious. Video of the hit after the jump. To give my two cents, I don't think he meant it to be high, the speed of the game is such that when he dropped his shoulder he took a risk but I don't see him actively 'head-hunting'. What do you reckon? CommentsBumbles Tue, 08 Mar 2011 03:51:50 Brutal!!!! That is nasty...but as mentioned above I don't think it is meant to be high, no malicious intent. Tue, 08 Mar 2011 06:02:31 and fyi its not even a matter of how high or how brutal...they aren't letting you run up to hit any more in NCAA theyre flagging every BIG hit darby Tue, 08 Mar 2011 06:03:42 boooom! serves the LSM right for not keeping his head up!! what a hit Coco Fri, 11 Mar 2011 12:07:38 Jay card is a animal.
