Congrats to Walcountian Blues for a league and flags double and for finally finding the consistency to put together a really great season. In a society that tells you that playing the game is all that counts, this video should help fuel the fire of those brave enough to try to be brilliant.

Merrimack Lacrosse - They're getting it right this year... 03/20/2011

Not only are Merrimack Lacrosse undefeated in 2011, sitting at 3-0 in the Div II ranks, but they are making kick-ass videos of each of their games this season. Atomic Lizard films are responsible for the videos and are doing a really good job, including HD quality, multi-cameras and an in-goal view. MLL 2010 - Some great highlight videos 03/10/2011

I've never hidden my love for the MLL, but I couple this love with disdain at their inability to effectively sell a product that should be in much higher demand. They have a unique, brilliant, exciting and niche product that they are not pushing nearly hard enough, in particular with the paltry attempts to increase awareness of the players, the teams and the overall brand identity of the league online.

There is, however, the occasional video that is created by the MLL which shows me what could be. After the jump are 8 videos, 6 focusing on the teams and 2 on the 2010 season, which are great, but have a fairly paltry following on Youtube. So enjoy. The first video, the MLL 2010 Look Back, is particularly good.

Nike Free Run 03/10/2011

The Nike Free Run shoe is pretty awesome. It looks good, the deign is better for your posture and joints and they're very comfy. Win, win, win. Also they have this 90 second advert dedicated to them (the Nike Free Run 2.0 is about to be released) and the move at 0.29 seconds in is just insane. Absolutely awesome. The rest of the advert is fine, general Nike high-quality, but 0.29 seconds in - Wow.

Slam Dunk contests + Super Slow-Mo = Massive win 03/08/2011

Super slow-mo is awesome, slam dunk contests are brilliant. Combine the two and you have a recipe for success. I'm sure you've all seen the highlights from the 2011 NBA Sprite Slam Dunk contest, won by Blake Griffin dunking over a car (above) but now witness the best dunks from the contest in super, super slow-mo...

Jay Card does not play around 03/08/2011

There is little doubt that Hofstra's Jay Card is an exceptional lacrosse player. However in the recent match up against Harvard he got in some trouble for a high hit which left John Rose, a Freshman LSM, down and unconscious. Video of the hit after the jump.

To give my two cents, I don't think he meant it to be high, the speed of the game is such that when he dropped his shoulder he took a risk but I don't see him actively 'head-hunting'. What do you reckon?

'Cuse looking tasty... 03/07/2011

Syracuse brought out the old school this weekend in their match up at the carrier dome against Virginia, reppin' the uniforms of old.... Love the shooter shirt above, love the uniforms on display below. In the first couple of pictures look at how psyched they all are for the game. Love the pumped up demeanour and intensity before a game, something I would say most teams lack in this country.

Massive shout out to lax.com for the photos, always great quality work going on over there.
