It's summer, officially. Yes we know it's only just turned May (which means we are almost 1 year old already!!!!) To start the May celebrations meet Kate Upton, the same beach bunny who graced the covers of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011 shoot, and who is apparently in her own words, the baby girl of her very large family. She hails from Florida, is often confused with a California girl, and she possesses two very special talents.

Bodyboarding - a controversial subject 04/29/2011
Bodyboarding often gets a bad rep,... let's not beat around the bush, it's the ugly duckling sister to Surfing in the popularity contest. Whether it be because its perceived as easier (no complexities of standing) or whether it's not got the elitism that surfing does because every land going chump can sink like a whale on a bodyboard, but to surf you gotta put in the groundwork. Whatever, as far as we see it, as long as you're out in the water enjoying the waves then that's a step in the right direction. We saw the below video, and thought we should share it with you. Also....great soundtrack.
Fresh Kicks - A Laxer's Essential 04/05/2011
Damn it feels good to be a laxer. It feels even better to get out of the uniform and put on a pair of fresh kicks... Honestly if you don't own a pair of high tops yet, then you really are missing out. Not just a simple trainer, these have substance, style and are comfy to boot. No real downside, and unless you are rocking a pair of flops cos it's Summer (which we can fully understand) then their really is no excuse for you not to pur-chase yourself some Fresh Kicks.

So Babe Of The Week kind of went the way of the dinosaur. And I, your very own Coach Dave, hugely apologise for that. I got lazy. Some of you may remember her as 'Pepper' in Neighbours, or some may have seen her in the final series of Scrubs, the slightly poor Med School spin-off dealy. Either way, she is so unbelievably hot. So... meet Erica Hosseini, who at 5'10" outta Newport Beach California, was born in 1987, and credits one of the sports that she played as school as Lacrosse. Rock on. Helmet Cams are cool... 01/30/2011
Helmet cams are officially awesome. How else can you in an instant recreate that feeling of surfing an epic barrel, pulling a backflip on a dirt bike, or snowboarding down through the freshest powder. Whilst we might never have done any of those, or only some, feel free to enjoy the selected videos below that put you in the hotseat.
TopJLax loves surf chicks, that's a fact. We don't know what it is about them that we love, maybe the bleached beach blonde hair, the shapely curves, tanned skin, or just the way they look standing next to a board. Either way, count us in. Anastasia Ashley is a 23year old Californian who's been a professional surfer and model since she was 17. Definitely ticks the box then.
